Add a Summary to your Navbar
The Summary in the Info section of your navbar gives your readers a quick overview of what your Simplebooklet is about. With our new AI Summary feature, you can instantly generate a clear, 40-word description of your content. You can edit this AI-generated text or write your own, making it easier than ever to give readers the context they need at a glance.
How to Add a Summary to your Navbar
- Open your Dashboard and select the Simplebooklet you want to update.
- Click the Design tab.
- In the left-hand toolbar, click Info.
- Toggle on the Summary option.
- Click the pencil icon next to Summary to open the customization panel.
- Choose how you want to create your summary:
- Use AI Suggest Summary — click the Suggest Summary button and we’ll review your Simplebooklet’s contents to generate a concise 40-word description. A confirmation will appear before replacing the existing Summary. Once generated, you can edit the result to match your needs.
- Write your own summary — type directly into the text box to create a custom description.
- A live preview drawer will automatically pop out from the right side of the Info section, allowing you to see how the Summary will appear to your viewers in the navbar as you make changes.
- Once you're happy with your summary, click Done.
- Your Summary is now added to the info section of your navbar and will help your audience understand your Simplebooklet’s content!
Why Use a Summary?
Adding a Summary immediately gives readers a sense of what to expect. It:
- Justifies why they should spend time on your content.
- Builds confidence that their time investment will pay off.
- Makes your booklet easier to find in collections, search engines, and social media shares.
How this impacts the Reader’s Journey:
Adding a Summary to your navbar plays a crucial role in the Awareness stage of the Reader’s Journey. It immediately provides context for your readers, helping them understand what your Simplebooklet is about at a glance. This reduces friction by giving them the information they need to decide whether to continue exploring, making them more likely to engage with your content and move further into the booklet. A clear and concise summary encourages readers to keep going, guiding them seamlessly from initial interest to deeper immersion.
