# Add Text

# Add Text

Adding text to your Simplebooklet is a great way to convey important information while keeping your content engaging. Whether you need to add a title, a paragraph, or just a quick caption, it’s easy to customize the text to match your booklet’s style. Follow these simple steps to add and edit text in your booklet.

### How to Add Text

1. Open your **Dashboard** and scroll to the Simplebooklet you want to add text to.

2. Click the **Edit** tab.

3. Select the page where you want to add the text.

4. In the left-hand toolbar, click the **Text** button.

5. Choose the text block template you want to use:

* **Blank**: A simple blank text block.

* **Title** (Left-aligned): A left-aligned title.

* **Title** (Centred): A centred title for your text.

* **Paragraph**: A simple paragraph block.

* **Header and Paragraph**: A combination of a header and paragraph.

6. Once you've selected a text block, drag and drop it onto your page.

7. Double-click the text block to start editing. A toolbar will appear at the top of the page with basic text features like **Bold**, **Underline**, **Italic**, **Font Color**, **Font Family**, **Font Size** and more. You can use these tools to style your text and make it fit your booklet's look.

| Want your text to have a consistent, polished look across your entire booklet? Try applying one of our **Font Family Themes** to automatically style your titles, headings, and paragraphs with matching fonts. You can find it by clicking the **Theme** button above the text block templates. (_If you choose the Blank Text Block, the custom Font Family Theme won't apply_).

8. Once you're happy with the text, click anywhere on the page to exit editing mode and return to normal.

9. Click on the text block to reposition it using the **Element Editor**.

10. Preview your booklet to ensure that everything works as expected.

9. Your text is now added and ready to be viewed!
