Add Video Narration to Your Simplebooklet Pages


Video narration lets you appear on screen and guide your audience through your content in a more personal and engaging way. You’ll record using your device’s camera and microphone, add notes in the teleprompt, and customize your narration for each page.


Available on all plans.



How to Add Video Narration to Your Page


  1. Open your Dashboard and select the Simplebooklet you want to narrate.


  1. Click the Record tab at the top of the editor.


  1. Flip to the page where you want to add video narration.


  1. In the left-hand toolbar, click Record. A drawer will open from the left.


  1. Select the Video option at the top of the drawer. This switches from voice-only recording to video narration.


  1. (Optional) Add notes in the Teleprompt section. Click the pencil icon, enter key points, and close the editor.


  1. In the Video Narration section, click the green Start Recording button. A countdown will appear before recording begins.


  1. Begin speaking once the countdown ends. Your camera will record both video and audio. Click the red button to stop. Your recording will appear in a playback bar with a preview window.


  1. Review your narration. You can:


  • Play your video


  • Redo to record again


  • Save Recording to add it to the page


After saving, a confirmation will appear letting you view your narration or narrate the next page.


Tip: You can record up to 60 Seconds of video narration per page.



Select a Microphone or Camera


You can change your recording devices at any time.


  • At the bottom of the drawer, use the Select Mic/Camera dropdown to choose a different microphone or camera.



Narration Settings


Customize how your video narration plays for viewers:


  1. In the left-hand toolbar, click Settings.


  1. Toggle any of the following:


  • Autoplay On Page Open — plays the video automatically when the page loads.


  • Autoplay First View Only — plays the video the first time a viewer opens that page.


  • Turn Page On Finish — automatically flips to the next page when the video ends.



Delete a Video Narration


  1. In the left-hand toolbar, click Delete.


  1. Play the video to confirm it’s the correct recording.


  1. Select Delete Recording or Keep Recording.


  1. Confirm deletion when prompted.



What Viewers Will See


Your saved video narration appears as a video player on the page.


Viewers can:


  • Play and pause the video


  • Scrub through the timeline


  • Watch you guide them through the content
