## How to Set Up a Custom Domain for Canva-Exported Simplebooklets

Before applying your domain inside Simplebooklet, you’ll need to add a **CNAME record** where your domain is registered (GoDaddy, Wix, Google Domains, Namecheap, etc.).
This confirms ownership of the domain and allows Simplebooklet to use it.

### Step 1: Add a CNAME Record with Your Domain Provider

1. Open your domain provider’s **DNS Manager**.

2. Locate the **CNAME** section and choose **Add New CNAME**.

3. Enter the following:

* **Hostname**: the subdomain you want to use

| (for example: `reports`, `designs`, or `guides`)*

* **Points to**: `simplebooklet.com`

* **TTL**: ½ hour

4. Save your changes.

5. Allow up to 30 minutes for the DNS update to complete.

| You don’t need to change your main website. Using a subdomain like **reports.yourdomain.com** keeps everything clean and organized.


### Step 2: Connect the Domain Inside Simplebooklet

1. Open your **Simplebooklet Dashboard**.

2. Click **Domain** in the left-hand toolbar.

3. Click the **plus icon** to add a new custom domain.

4. Enter your domain (without `https://`).

5. Click **Add Domain**.

6. Choose how you want to apply it:

*  Set it as the **default account domain**, or

* Apply it to a specific Canva-exported Simplebooklet or Collection

7. Click **Apply**.

Your Simplebooklet will now load from a clean, branded URL.
