Customize your Page Flip Transition

Changing the page flip transition in your Simplebooklet allows you to control how your pages flip for both desktop and mobile views. Whether you want a smooth page spread or a dramatic gatefold effect, you can adjust the transition to match the style of your booklet. Here’s how to select and configure your preferred transition effect.

Available on all plans.

How to Customize your Page Flip Transition

Open your Dashboard and select the Simplebooklet you want to update.

Click the Design tab.

In the left-hand toolbar, click Page Flip.

Click the pencil icon next to "Page Flip Transition" to open the page flip options.

By default, you'll start with the Desktop Transitions. To switch to mobile transitions, click the Mobile tab at the top.

You’ll see a variety of transition categories, including:

Page Spread

Single Page

Trifold

Gatefold

Trifold and Gatefold transitions can only be used with 6-8 pages.

Select your preferred transition for both desktop and mobile views.

Click on the Settings icon beside the Desktop and Mobile tabs to edit the Flip Timing.

Under Flip Timing, you can choose between:

Manual & Auto: Decide if the flip will be manual or automatic. If you select Auto, you'll need to configure the following settings:

Time Length: Set the duration for how long the page will stay before it flips.

Flip Frequency: Choose between once or repeat.

Under Direction, you can choose whether you want your page to flip from Left to Right or Right to Left.

Under First Page, choose whether you want a Single or Double first page.

Under Fold Shadow, select Shadow or No Shadow to add a subtle effect to your page flip.

Once you're satisfied with the settings, click the Apply Page Flip button to save your changes.

Preview your booklet to ensure that everything works as expected.

Your page flip transitions are now customized, and your Simplebooklet will display with dynamic page flip effects on both desktop and mobile devices!
