Get to know the Edit Tab

The Edit Tab is where you’ll bring your booklet to life. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining an existing design, this is where you'll customize your content, add interactive features, and adjust the layout. From adding text and images to embedding media and links, the Edit Tab gives you everything you need to create a polished, interactive booklet. Let’s take a look at the key sections:

Left-Hand Toolbar

The left-hand toolbar gives you quick access to all the tools and elements you can use to customize your booklet. Here’s a quick overview:

Hotspot:

Make parts of your page clickable, adding interactivity. You can link to other pages within the booklet, external websites, emails or phone numbers.

Buttons

Add interactive buttons to your booklet that link to a variety of actions. You can create buttons for downloading files, visiting websites, making purchases, sharing content, or even triggering phone calls or emails. Each button is fully customizable, so you can adjust its appearance and behaviour to suit your design.

Images

Upload and insert images from your device or choose from free stock images from Unsplash.

Video

Add engaging video content to your booklet. You can embed a video that plays directly on the page, create a button that opens a video in a new tab, or add a hotspot that links to a video URL like YouTube or Vimeo.

Audio

Upload MP3 or AAC audio files to create an immersive experience for your viewers.

Text

Add text blocks to your pages, from headlines to body text. You can customize the fonts, sizes, colours, and styles, and even apply a font family theme to keep your design consistent and on-brand.

Stickers

Add fun, animated stickers to your booklet to make it more engaging and lively.

Forms

Add custom forms to collect information or feedback from your audience. You can easily build your own using the form builder or choose from our pre-made form templates to get started quickly.

Code

For more advanced users, the Code section allows you to embed custom HTML, iFrames, and a variety of other code snippets. You can easily integrate third-party tools like Shopify, Google Forms, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and more, to enhance your booklet with interactive elements, documents, and media.

Pages

Manage your pages—add, delete, reorder, or duplicate pages as needed. You can also adjust the dimensions of your Simplebooklet and customize the page background color to fit your design.

Canva

If you're using Canva for design, you can open your Simplebooklet directly in the Canva editor to update your design within Canva itself, making it easy to make changes and keep everything synced.

Smart Blocks

Use your logo or other predefined elements to quickly build professional-looking pages. Simply drag and drop these elements into your design for an easy and cohesive look.

Additional Buttons

Next to your booklet preview, you'll find four key buttons that help you manage your editing experience:

New Page

A shortcut to the Add Pages section on the left-hand toolbar, allowing you to quickly add new pages to your booklet.

Outline View

Switch to Outline View to easily navigate and organize your booklet.

Snap to Grid

Align your elements neatly on the page by snapping them to a grid for perfect positioning.

Element Editor

Opens the element editor where you can easily customize, animate, and control how each element looks and behaves on your page.

Element Editor

The Element Editor gives you full control over the elements on your page. It appears automatically whenever you add any element or click anywhere on the booklet. The editor is divided into two panels: Actions and Styles.
