Invite Someone to Narrate **your Page**
You can invite another person to add narration to your Simplebooklet. This is great when you want a teammate, expert, or guest speaker to contribute their voice or video to a specific page or your entire booklet.
How to Invite a Guest Narrator
- Open your Dashboard and select the Simplebooklet you want to update.
- Click the Record tab at the top of the editor.
- In the left-hand toolbar, click Invite to open the invitation drawer.
- In the Invite tab (open by default), choose whether your guest can narrate:
- Page Only — only the page you’re currently on
- All Pages — your entire booklet
- In the textbox, provide instructions or guidance for your guest narrator.
- Click Create Invite.
You’ll receive an Invitation Link you can copy and share. You can:
- Copy Link
- Disable Link
- Update Instructions
- Share the link with your guest narrator.
What Your Guest Narrator Will Do
When your guest opens the invitation link:
- They will log into their Simplebooklet account.
- Your booklet will open with an option to begin narration.
- They click Open Recording to access the recording popup.
- Inside the recording popup, they can:
Record Video
- Click the green button to start
- Click the red button to stop
- Review the recording
- Redo or Save
Record Voice Only
- Switch to Voice Only
- Click the green button to record
- Or upload an MP3
- Stop, preview, redo, or save
Select Mic/Camera
- Choose audio or video devices at the bottom of the popup
- After saving, their narration is submitted for your review.
How to Review and Approve Submissions
- Open the Record tab again.
- If you have new submissions, the Invite button will show a notification badge.
- Click Invite, then switch to the Submissions tab.
- From here, you can:
- Play the submitted narration
- Click Add to Page to approve
- Or click the Trashcan icon to reject
- When approved, the narration becomes active on the current page.
How this impacts the Reader’s Journey
Inviting guest narrators supports the Awareness and Engagement stages of the Reader’s Journey. A new voice or expert perspective brings credibility, variety, and personality to your content, helping readers stay interested and connect more deeply with your message.
