# **Require Verified Email for Your Simplebooklet**

The **Require Verified Email** feature lets you control who can access your Simplebooklet by validating email addresses before viewing. You can allow anyone to verify, restrict access to approved emails or domains, and review access history at any time.

This is ideal when you want to protect sensitive content or ensure you know exactly who is viewing your booklet.

## **How to Enable Verified Email Access**

1. Open your **Dashboard** and locate the Simplebooklet you want to update.

2. Click the **Share** button.

3. Scroll to the **Access Control** section.

4. Toggle on **Require Verified Email**.

5. Click the **Settings** icon to open **Email Access Settings**.

## **Email Access Options**

You’ll now see three access levels inside the **Verified Email Access** panel:


### **1. Public Access**

Anyone with the link can view your Simplebooklet.

No email verification is required.


### **2. Email Verification Required**

Anyone can view the booklet, but they must verify their email address first.

When this option is enabled, you will also see:

**Code Request Only**

This allows viewers to request a verification code by email without needing to create or enter a password.

This is useful when you want a simple verification step without adding friction.


### **3. Restricted Email Access**

Only approved email addresses or domains can view the Simplebooklet.

To configure:

1. Enter approved email addresses or domains in the provided field.

2. Click **Add**.

3. Approved entries will appear in your Allowed Email List.

4. Click the **X** to remove individual entries.

5. Click **Delete All** to clear the list.

Under this option, you will also see:

**Code Request Only**

Approved users can request a verification code without setting a password.

This keeps access secure while maintaining a smooth viewer experience.


## **Access History (Access Report)**

Inside the same settings panel, switch to the **Access Report** tab to monitor activity.

You can view:

* Email address

* Number of opens

* Date of last open

* Location

* Device

You can also click **Download All** to export the report.


## **Good to Know**

* You can switch between Public, Email Verification, or Restricted access at any time.

* Disabling the toggle turns off email verification entirely.

* Approved and verified users can also be viewed in your **Followers** list.

* Code Request Only removes the need for passwords while still maintaining verified access.


## **How This Supports the Reader’s Journey**

Requiring verified email access supports the Awareness and Engagement stages of the Reader’s Journey by confirming reader identity before content is viewed. It helps protect sensitive material while also providing insight into who is interacting with your booklet. By balancing access control with flexible options like Code Request Only, you can maintain both security and a smooth viewing experience.
