# Setting Up a Right-to-Left Booklet

If your content is designed to be read right to left — Arabic, Hebrew, Japanese manga, or any other right-to-left format — Simplebooklet supports this with the **Board Book** transition. Here's how to set it up correctly.

## Important: Board Book Only

Right-to-left reading direction is only available with the **Board Book** transition. The page curl transitions (Classic, Presentation, Magazine) do not support right-to-left page order. If you try to use a page curl style with right-to-left content, the pages will open in the wrong direction.

## How to Set Up a Right-to-Left Booklet

1. Go to your **Dashboard** and open your Simplebooklet.

2. Click the **Design** tab.

3. Click **Page Flip** in the left toolbar.

4. Under **Page flip transition**, select **Board Book**.

5. Click the **settings icon** next to Board Book.

6. Toggle on **Right to Left**.

7. Click **Apply Page Flip**.

Your booklet will now open and flip from right to left, matching the natural reading direction of your content.

## Setting This at Upload

If you haven't converted your booklet yet, you can select Board Book during the upload process so you don't have to change it afterward:

1. On the **Convert** page, click **Advanced Settings**.

2. Select **Board Book** as your transition.

3. Click **Convert**.

Once your booklet is converted, go to **Design → Page Flip**, click the settings icon next to Board Book, toggle on **Right to Left**, and click **Apply Page Flip**.

## What Readers See

Readers will see your booklet open from the right side, with pages turning left — the same direction they'd turn pages in a physical right-to-left book. The navigation arrows will also reflect the correct direction.

## Tips

* If your content is already converted with a page curl transition, you can switch to Board Book by going to **Design → Page Flip**, selecting Board Book, clicking the settings icon, toggling on Right to Left, and clicking **Apply Page Flip** — no need to re-upload.

* Make sure your PDF page order matches right-to-left reading order before uploading. Simplebooklet displays pages in the order they appear in the PDF.

* Board Book is also a great choice for children's books, comics, and any format where a flat, slide-style flip suits the content better than a page curl.
