## Classification Matrix

| **Public** | Information intended for public access with no confidentiality risk if disclosed. | Marketing collateral, Public Simplebooklets, Job postings | No restrictions; reviewed and approved; stored in public repos |
| **Internal** | Operational data used internally that, if leaked, would cause minimal damage. | Feature specs, Analytics dashboards, Support SOPs | Staff only; stored on secure platforms; encrypted in transit/at rest |
| **Confidential** | Sensitive business or customer data; unauthorized access could cause harm. | Customer info, Billing data, API keys | RBAC; AES-256 encryption; secure sharing only |

## Supporting Policies

* **Data Storage & Encryption:** All data stored in AWS/GCP with at-rest AES-256 encryption.
* **Access Management:** Role-based access control with MFA; quarterly access reviews.
* **Data Transmission:** TLS 1.2+ for all data in transit.
* **Data Retention:** Free user data purged after 21 days of inactivity; backups retained 30 days.
* **Incident Response:** 24-hour breach notification and escalation path to leadership.
