Style Your Simplebooklet with the Color Expert

Stop guessing which colors work. The Color Expert reads your Simplebooklet — your logo, images, and content — and builds a custom palette from what's already there. It then applies that palette to your navigation bar, links, and backdrop so your whole presentation feels like it belongs together. No design experience needed.

Run the Color Expert

  1. Open your booklet and click the Design tab.

  1. Click AI Expert in the top-left corner of the toolbar.

  1. Under Select Features, toggle on Color and click Run 1 Task (the number reflects how many agents you have selected).

  1. When you see the message "Your color palette is ready to be used. Open it up from Glow Up," your palette has been built. A green checkmark appears beside Color in AI Expert.

Review and Apply Your Palette

  1. Click Review beside the Color option in AI Expert, or Open from the Agent Status marker.

  1. You'll see all the colors in your palette, with Where it's applied below — Navigation Bar, Link Highlight, and Backdrop.

  1. Click Apply Colors at the bottom of the section to apply your palette across all three areas. You'll get a notification confirming your colors have been assigned.

  1. Once applied, tap the pencil icon beside any option to fine-tune individual colors.

Once you apply colors, the Apply Colors button changes to Revert Colors — click it any time to go back to your previous colors.

Navigation Bar

Click the pencil icon beside Navigation Bar to open the Navigation Bar Layout panel (this can also be accessed from the left-hand toolbar).

From here you can customize:

  • Top Navigation Styling — Text, Header
  • Bottom Navigation Styling — Text, Footer

Click the color swatch above any option to open the color picker. At the top you'll see My Palette From Color Expert so you can apply any palette color in one click. Below that is a Custom Color picker where you can choose from the color wheel or type in a hex code.

Don't set your Text and Header — or Text and Footer — to the same color, or your text will become invisible against the background.

Click the pencil icon beside Link Highlight to open the Link Highlight panel.

Choose the color used to highlight clickable links, making them easier for readers to spot. You'll see Default Colors first. Click Use Custom Color to access your palette and the full color picker.

Link Highlight can also be edited from the Design tab by clicking Settings in the left-hand toolbar and clicking the pencil icon beside Link Highlight. Make sure Link Highlight is toggled on so it's visible to your readers.

Backdrop

Click the pencil icon beside Backdrop to open the Backdrop panel, where you can choose from a range of solid colors.

Backdrop can also be edited by clicking Brand in the left-hand toolbar and clicking the pencil icon beside Backdrop.
