Upload an Audio or Video File for your Narration

Upload an Audio or Video File for **your Narration**

Instead of recording directly in Simplebooklet, you can upload an existing audio or video file to use as your page narration. This is perfect if you already have professional recordings, edited files, or previously recorded content you want to reuse.

Available on all plans.

How to Upload an Audio or Video File

  1. Open your Dashboard and select the Simplebooklet you want to update.

  1. Click the Record tab at the top of the editor.

  1. In the left-hand toolbar, click Record. This opens the narration drawer.

  1. At the top of the drawer, switch to the Upload tab.

  1. Click Select File.

  1. Choose the file you want to upload from your device.

  • Uploading an audio file (MP3 or WAV) will automatically switch you to Voice Only Narration.

  • Uploading a video file (MP4 recommended) will automatically switch you to Video Narration.

  1. Once the upload is complete, your narration will appear in the playback bar with a preview.

  1. Click Save Recording to add your narration to the page.

  1. Your uploaded narration is now added to your Simplebooklet.

Updating or Replacing an Uploaded File

  1. Open the Record drawer.

  1. Switch back to the Upload tab.

  1. Click Select File again to upload a new recording.

  1. Save your changes.

Your narration will update instantly.

How Your Audience Sees It

Depending on your upload:

  • Audio files show an audio playback bar (with headshot if added).

  • Video files show a built-in video player directly on the page.

Both appear clean and mobile-friendly for your viewers.

How this impacts the Reader’s Journey

Uploading narration supports the Attention and Engagement stages of the Reader’s Journey by letting you deliver polished, high-quality audio or video content. Whether you’re using studio-quality voiceovers or edited walkthrough videos, uploaded narration makes your message clearer, more professional, and easier for viewers to follow.
