Add a Hotspot - Weblink

Weblink

Introduction

Make any area of your page clickable and open a weblink.

Available on all paid plans.

Benefits

Making your page interactive with a clickable element is a great way to keep your customer engaged with your content. It makes any part of your page a call to action and gets your customer to proactively take the next step with your business. You can use a weblink to a reservation page, a blog post, or really to any other link you want to redirect the customer.

Walkthrough

This is a 3 minute video showing you how to add a link hotspot to your Simplebooklet.

Step-by-Step Guide

Below is a walkthrough showing you how to add a link hotspot to your Simplebooklet.

Open your booklet in the EDIT tab to the page you want to add a link hotspot.

Select Hotspot from the toolbar on the left.

Click Choose Your Action.

From the list, select Website.

Fill in your desired URL in the empty field below Website Address.

Choose one of the three available options on how you would like your weblink to be opened:
Open in Lightbox means that the link will open in a popup lightbox overlaying your Simplebooklet (this doesn't work for all website links).
Open in New Tab means that clicking on the link hotspot will open the link in a new tab.
Open in Current Tab means when the customer clicks on the link hotspot, it will replace your Simplebooklet with the link content on the same tab.

Click Save.

The link hotspot will appear in the center of your Simplebooklet as a transparent orange box with a link icon in the middle. The hotspot will be invisible on the published page.

Click and drag to resize and move your link hotspot to adjust its coverage of the parts of the page you want to be interactive.

You have added a weblink hotspot!
