Add a Video Hotspot to your Simplebooklet
A video hotspot lets you link a part of your Simplebooklet to a video, making your content more engaging and interactive. You can link to videos hosted on platforms like YouTube or Vimeo, or upload a video directly from your device. Here’s how to set up a video hotspot:
How to Add a Video Hotspot to your Simplebooklet
- Open your Dashboard and scroll to the Simplebooklet you want to add a link hotspot to.
- Click the Edit tab.
- Select the page where you want to add the hotspot.
- In the left-hand toolbar, click the Hotspot button.
- From the drop-down menu, select Video.
- Choose between two options for adding a video:
Embed:
- Add a link to a video hosted on platforms like YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Drive.
- Simply paste the URL of the video you want to link to.
- Once you're ready, click Add to add the video to your booklet.
Upload:
- Upload a video file directly from your device (MP4, MOV, AVI, WMV, FLV, MKV, or WEBM up to 50MB).
- Click the Choose File button and select your video file from your device.
Customize your video settings (only for the Upload option):
- Autoplay on Open: Automatically play the video when the page is opened.
- Muted Audio: Play the video without sound by default.
- Hide Video Playbar: Hide the video controls.
- Loop Video: Make the video play continuously in a loop.
- Once you're ready, click Add Video to add the video to your booklet.
- Click on the hotspot to resize and reposition it using the Element Editor.
- Preview your booklet to ensure that everything works as expected.
- Your video hotspot is now added and ready to be interacted with!
