Preview your Simplebooklet Across Devices

Before you publish your Simplebooklet, it’s important to ensure everything looks and functions as expected across different devices. With the Audience Preview, you can see exactly how your booklet will appear to your readers on desktop, mobile, and tablet. Here’s how to use the Audience Preview to test your Simplebooklet:

Available on all plans.

How to Access the Audience Preview

You can access the Audience Preview of your Simplebooklet in two ways:

  • From your Dashboard: Click on the image of your Simplebooklet cover to open the preview.

  • While editing or designing: Click the Preview button in the top-right corner of the screen to load the preview view.

Switch Between Device Views

By default, the preview opens in Desktop View, but you can easily switch between three different views to test how your booklet will look on various devices. Simply click on the tabs at the top to switch between views:

  • Desktop View: See how your booklet looks on larger screens.

  • Mobile View: Check how it appears on mobile devices.

  • Tablet View: View your booklet from a tablet perspective.

Test Your Booklet’s Functionality

While previewing your booklet in any of these views, you can swipe through your content to test everything—this includes videos, recordings, animations, page flips, and more. It’s a great way to ensure everything functions correctly and your content is ready for publication.

Make Changes Instantly in Preview Mode

If you spot something you want to adjust while in Audience Preview mode, you don’t need to exit the preview to make changes. Simply click the designated Edit, Design, or Record buttons at the top of the screen to instantly make your updates. This allows you to quickly tweak your booklet without leaving the preview view.

Additionally, while in preview mode, you can access extra controls for immediate adjustments:

  • Flip Button: Instantly change your page flip transition without leaving the preview mode.

  • Theme Button: Quickly switch between different themes to see how your booklet looks with a new style.

These options are only available when accessing the preview mode from the Dashboard.

Focus on the Side Drawers

As you preview your booklet, pay special attention to the side drawers that pop out from the left when accessing the navbar. These drawers contain four key sections:

  • Info: Display the title, summary, and other important details.

  • Contact: Show your contact information and social media links.

• Share: Access sharing options for social media and more.

  • Controls: Manage your navigation and interactive elements.

You can customize these sections within the Design section of your Simplebooklet.

How this impacts the Reader’s Journey:

The Audience Preview feature helps ensure your readers have a smooth and enjoyable experience from the start. At the Awareness stage, it allows you to quickly assess how your booklet appears on different devices, making sure your content is immediately accessible and visually appealing. As readers move into the Attention stage, the ability to test interactive elements like videos, animations, and page flips ensures that your booklet remains engaging and functional, keeping your audience focused and minimizing distractions.
