Add a Custom Button after Exporting from Canva

After exporting your Canva design into Simplebooklet, you can add a Custom Button to your booklet’s navbar to give your audience a clear next step.

A Custom Button links to any URL you choose, making it easy to direct readers to a signup page, registration form, product listing, booking calendar, or any external resource.

Available on all plans.

How to Add a Custom Button After Exporting from Canva

  1. After completing your Canva export, your design opens in Simplebooklet Preview Mode. Click Customize at the top of the screen.

  1. This opens the full editor. Select the Design tab.

  1. In the left-hand toolbar, click Advanced.

  1. Scroll to the Nav Buttons section and toggle on Custom Button.

  1. Click the pencil icon beside the Custom Button toggle to customize it.

  1. In the Button Label field, enter the text you want displayed on your button (up to 12 characters).

Tip: Use clear, action-oriented labels like Register, Learn More, Buy Now, or Book Call.

  1. Enter the URL you want the button to link to. This can be any external page, such as a form, checkout, or landing page.

  1. Click Done to save your changes.

  1. Your Custom Button will now appear in your booklet’s navbar across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

How This Impacts the Audience’s Journey

Adding a Custom Button supports the Action stage of the Audience Journey by giving readers a clear, friction-free way to move forward after engaging with your content. Once someone finishes exploring a design exported from Canva, the Custom Button helps convert interest into action — whether that’s signing up, booking a call, making a purchase, or learning more.
