How do I update a Simplebooklet from Canva?

Update a Simplebooklet you made in Canva by editing the design in Canva and sending it back to the same Simplebooklet. Your link, QR code and reports stay the same, so everyone you've already shared it with sees the new version.

• Your link: anyone who already has it sees the new version.
• Your QR code: printed menus, signs and flyers keep working.
• Your reports: opens and engagement carry on from before the update.
• Your share settings: passwords, lead gates and embeds on your website stay in place.
• Your enhancements: hotspots, buttons and forms you added in Simplebooklet stay.

How do I update from Simplebooklet?

1. On your Dashboard, click the Canva button on your Simplebooklet. You can also click Canva in the left-hand toolbar of the Edit tab.

2. In the Leaving Simplebooklet window, click Edit In Canva.

3. Your design opens in Canva with the Simplebooklet panel on the left. Make your changes.
4. Under Export design, click Update with new design.

5. Under Select pages, choose All, then click Export.

6. When you see Your booklet is almost ready!, click Complete in Simplebooklet.

Your updated Simplebooklet opens in Reader Preview.

How do I update from Canva?

If the design is already open in Canva:

1. Click Share in the top-right corner, then click Simplebooklet.
2. In the Publish tab, click Update current Simplebooklet.

3. The export settings open. Follow steps 5 and 6 in How do I update from Simplebooklet? to export your design and open your updated Simplebooklet.

How do I make a new Simplebooklet from my Canva design instead?

Use this when you want a second Simplebooklet with its own link, and want to keep the original as it is.

1. In the Simplebooklet panel in Canva, under Export design, click Make a new Simplebooklet.

2. Under Recommended or More flips, click the page flip you want.
3. Click Export design.

4. Export your design and click Complete in Simplebooklet, as in steps 5 and 6 in How do I update from Simplebooklet?

Your new Simplebooklet opens in Reader Preview with its own link. Your original Simplebooklet doesn't change.

Will my hotspots, buttons and forms stay after I update?

Yes. When you use Update with new design, the hotspots, buttons and forms you added in Simplebooklet stay.

What does Make a new Simplebooklet do?

It publishes your design as a separate Simplebooklet with its own link. Your original Simplebooklet stays as it is. See How do I make a new Simplebooklet from my Canva design instead? above.

Do I need to select all pages?

Yes, for an update. Choose All under Select pages so your whole design goes to Simplebooklet. If you leave pages out, they won't be in the updated Simplebooklet.

I don't see the Canva button on my Dashboard. Why?

The Simplebooklet wasn't made from Canva. The Canva button only shows on Simplebooklets you published from Canva. To update a Simplebooklet made from a PDF, use Replace on your Dashboard.
