Add a Follow Button to Your Navbar

Add a Follow Button to Your Navbar

The Following feature adds a Follow button to the Contact section of your booklet's navbar. When readers click it, they become followers — and you can send them updates whenever your content changes.

Available on all plans.

How to Enable Following

  1. From your Dashboard, open a booklet and click the Design tab.
  2. In the left-hand toolbar, click Contact.
  3. Toggle on Following.

A Follow button will now appear in the Contact section of your booklet's navbar.

How to Manage Your Followers

Click the pencil icon next to Following to open the Manage Your Followers panel. It has three tabs.

View Followers — See how many people are following this booklet and who they are. When someone follows your booklet from the navbar, they'll appear here.

Add Followers — Add followers manually from your other Simplebooklets. Select a booklet from the list, then check the followers you want to carry over. This is useful when you publish an updated version of a booklet and want to bring your existing audience along.

Notify Followers — Send a message to all current followers. A default message is pre-filled ("I've made updates to [your booklet].") — customize it before sending. Click Send to notify everyone at once.

Tips

  • Followers are booklet-specific. Each booklet has its own follower list.
  • Use the Notify tab whenever you replace your content or publish a major update — it's the fastest way to let your audience know.
  • If you're republishing a booklet with a new URL, add followers from the old booklet before sharing the new one.
