How do I turn my file into a Simplebooklet?

Upload a PDF, Word document or presentation from your Dashboard, and Simplebooklet turns it into a flipbook with its own link. While it converts, Simplebooklet matches your colors, activates the links in your pages and turns on page tracking, so your document experience is ready to share in minutes.

Available on all plans.

How do I upload my file?

  1. On your Dashboard, click the arrow beside UPLOAD FILE, then choose From Computer. You can also click the Upload File button above your Simplebooklets.
  2. Choose your file and click Open.

How do I set up my Simplebooklet?

On the Convert Your File Into A Simplebooklet page:

  1. Check the Title. It's filled in from your file, and it becomes part of your Simplebooklet's link, so keep it short and clear.
  2. Under Choose A Page Flip, pick how your pages turn. Recommended shows the styles that suit your file, such as Page Curl, Parallax or Hard Cover. Click Single Page to see the styles that show one page at a time.
  3. Click Convert.

What's in Advanced Settings?

Click Advanced Settings before you convert if you need to change how your file is handled:

  • Convert as HTML5 (Recommended): keeps the links in your pages working and lets you edit your text later.
  • Convert as Image: turns each page into a high-quality image you can add content to.
  • Bi-Fold: turn this on if your PDF has two-page spreads, to split each spread into two pages.

Advanced Settings open, showing the HTML5 and Image conversion methods and the Bi-Fold toggle, with an arrow pointing to Advanced Settings.

What happens while it converts?

Simplebooklet shows your progress in three steps: Picked page flips, Converting, and Preview & share.

Your new link appears under Your Link while you wait. To change it, click the pencil beside it.

When it's done, you'll see Your flipbook is ready! Click What we did with your file to see the changes Simplebooklet made:

  • Colors: matching colors from your pages are applied to your Simplebooklet's theme.
  • Images: your images are optimized so they load faster on readers' devices.
  • Links: links already in your pages are activated so readers can take action.
  • Tracking: page tracking is turned on, so your Reports show how long people spend on each page and what they click.

The panel on the left gives you three ways to keep going:

  • Customize: jump to Design, Edit or Record to change your presentation, add to your pages or add narration.
  • Glow Up: under Already Done, see what's been set up for you, like Colors matched and In-page links activated. Click either to review or change it. Under What's Next, click View Recommendations to open the Glow Up panel in Design, where the Experts can add a summary, table of contents, translations and more.
  • Troubleshoot: if something doesn't look right, click Rebuild your Simplebooklet. Simplebooklet will try to fix broken fonts, blurry images and bad layouts.

Common questions

Why are my logo and contact card already filled in?

They come from your BrandKit. If you've added your logo and contact details to your BrandKit, Simplebooklet adds them to every new Simplebooklet automatically. If you haven't, Logo and Contact Card show a Start button in Design > Expert, so you can add them yourself.

Should I convert as HTML5 or Image?

HTML5 suits most files. It keeps your links working and lets you edit text later. Try Image if your pages don't look right after converting as HTML5.

My Simplebooklet doesn't look right. What should I do?

Try Rebuild your Simplebooklet. You'll find it under Troubleshoot in the panel that opens after converting. If that doesn't fix it, chat with us using the chat button in the bottom-right corner.

Yes. Click Share in the top-right corner, then click the pencil beside your link.
