How to Track Simplebooklet Activity in Google Analytics

  1. Set up a Google Analytics account

If you don’t already have one, go to Google Analytics and create a new account. Follow the setup prompts to create a property for your Simplebooklet.

  1. Get your Google Analytics Tracking ID

Once your property is created, search for “Measurement ID” or “Tracking ID” in the search bar. You’ll see a code that looks like UA-12345678-1 or G-XXXXXXXXXX — copy this ID, as you’ll need it in the next step.

  1. Open your Simplebooklet Dashboard

From your Dashboard, locate the Simplebooklet you want to connect to Google Analytics.

  1. Click the Reports button

This opens your reporting and tracking options for that booklet.

  1. Select “GA ID” from the left-hand menu

This will open the Google Analytics integration panel.

  1. Paste your Google Analytics Tracking ID

Enter your copied tracking ID into the field provided and click Save to link your account. Your Simplebooklet is now connected to Google Analytics, and data will begin tracking automatically.

  1. Track your Simplebooklet performance

Once connected, you can view in-depth analytics directly in your Google Analytics dashboard — including metrics like total views, average engagement time, user demographics, and referral sources.

Your Google Analytics data updates in real time, giving you continuous insight into how readers interact with your Simplebooklet.

How this impacts the Reader’s Journey

Connecting Google Analytics supports the Awareness and Engagement stages of the Reader’s Journey. It helps you understand where readers are coming from, what’s capturing their attention, and how long they stay — allowing you to refine your content and deliver experiences that keep them coming back.
