Understanding Stage 3 of the Audience Journey: Action

Action is the moment your booklet converts a reader into a lead or customer. This is where your content pays off — a reader has engaged with what they've read and decided to take the next step you asked them to take.

Success at this stage = CTA clicks that generate leads or sales.

Call to Action Clicks

Every click on a CTA button or link you've embedded in your booklet — things like "Book a Demo", "Buy Now", "Contact Us", or "Download". Each click represents a reader who was engaged enough to take the next step.

Call to Action Clicks are the most direct measure of whether your booklet is doing its job. If your booklet exists to generate leads, drive sales, or move readers somewhere specific, this is the number that matters most.

What to Look For

Strong Attention numbers but low Action numbers usually means your CTAs aren't landing. Check that they're visible, placed at natural decision points in your content, and use clear, specific language — "Book a Free Call" works better than "Learn More".

High Action numbers relative to opens mean your booklet is highly effective at converting readers who find it. This is a strong signal to invest in growing your Awareness numbers.

If CTA Clicks are zero, check that your CTAs are actually embedded and working correctly in your booklet.
