Update your Existing Simplebooklet Using Canva

Update your Existing Simplebooklet Using Canva

If your Simplebooklet was originally created from Canva, you can update the design directly in Canva and export those changes back to the same Simplebooklet using the Canva

Publish Intent Integration — keeping the same live link and analytics intact.

Available on all plans.

How to Update Your Existing Simplebooklet

This workflow can start in Simplebooklet or Canva. Just make sure the design you’re editing was previously exported to Simplebooklet so it stays linked to the same booklet.

You can move seamlessly between Canva and Simplebooklet while keeping the same live link and analytics intact.

Start in Simplebooklet

  1. Open your Simplebooklet Dashboard.

  1. Find the Simplebooklet you want to update.

You can tell it was created from Canva by the Canva icon shown next to it.

  1. Click the Canva icon.

  1. Select Edit in Canva.

Canva opens with your original design loaded and ready to edit.

Make Updates in Canva

  1. Use Canva’s design tools to make any changes you need — update text, images, layouts, or pages.

  1. When you’re finished, click Share in the top-right corner.

  1. Select See all, then choose Simplebooklet under the Design section.

This opens the Canva Publish Intent Integration on the right-hand side.

Update the Current Simplebooklet

  1. At the top of the integration, choose which pages you want to export.

  1. You’ll see two options:

  • Update Current Simplebooklet

  • Make a New Simplebooklet

  1. Select Update Current Simplebooklet.

  1. Click Publish now.

Your updated design is sent back to the same Simplebooklet.

After Publishing

Once published, you’ll see a confirmation message. From here, you can:

  • Make a copy — creates a duplicate of your Canva design

  • Check it out — opens the updated Simplebooklet

Your booklet opens in Simplebooklet Preview Mode, where you can:

  • Flip through updated pages

  • Preview desktop, tablet, and mobile views

  • Click Customize to access the EditDesign, or Narrate tabs

Share your Updated Simplebooklet

When you’re ready to share:

  1. Click the Share tab in the top-right corner.

  1. Choose how you want to deliver it:

  • Copy your branded link

  • Generate a QR code

  • Grab an embed code

  • Use any sharing option you prefer

Your Simplebooklet is now fully updated — same link, same analytics, refreshed content.
