Broken Gradients, Fades, or Overlays After Converting

If your gradients, fades, or image overlays looked fine in your original design but broke after converting or replacing your booklet, don't worry — you don't need to redesign anything. This is a known conversion issue and there's a quick fix built right into Simplebooklet.

How to Fix It

  1. Go to your Dashboard and find the affected Simplebooklet.

  1. Click Replace and re-upload your file.

  1. Once replaced, open your booklet in Preview.

  1. Tap the Troubleshoot button in the preview window.

That's it — Simplebooklet will automatically correct the gradients, fades, and overlays right away.

Do I Need to Change My Design?

No. The issue is with the conversion, not your original file. You do not need to edit your Canva design, InDesign document, or any other source file. Just replace and troubleshoot.

Tips

  • If the issue reappears after a future replacement, just run through the same steps — Replace, then Troubleshoot.

  • The Troubleshoot button is only visible in Preview mode after your booklet has been converted.
