Troubleshoot your Simplebooklet Conversion
Troubleshoot Your Simplebooklet Conversion
If your booklet has blurry images, misaligned text, or font issues after conversion, the Rebuild tool can fix most of these automatically. It reconverts your file with adjusted settings and applies the result without you needing to re-upload anything.
How to Troubleshoot Your Conversion
- From your Dashboard, click the cover image of the booklet you want to fix. This opens Preview Mode.

- A drawer opens from the left side of the screen with next steps for your booklet.
- At the bottom of the drawer, click Troubleshoot.

- A dropdown appears with the option: Rebuild your Simplebooklet — We'll try to fix broken fonts, blurry images, and bad layouts.

- Click it. Your booklet will begin reconverting — you'll see a loading screen while it processes.
- Once complete, you'll be returned to Preview Mode with the changes applied. Flip through your pages to check the result.

If things still don't look right, click the chat icon to contact our support team and we'll take a look.
Tips
- The Rebuild tool covers the most common conversion issues: font rendering, image quality, and layout problems. It's always worth trying before re-exporting your original file.
- The Troubleshoot option disappears after you've run it once — that's expected. If you need to rebuild again, contact our support team via the chat icon.
- If your PDF was created in Canva, see Troubleshoot Canva Imports in Simplebooklet for additional steps specific to Canva exports.
- For persistent issues, try compressing your PDF using iLovePDF before re-uploading — it can clean up hidden formatting data that causes conversion problems.
