Export an Annual Report from Canva to Simplebooklet

Transform your Canva-designed annual report into a fully interactive Simplebooklet using the Canva Publish Intent Integration. Page-flip transitions help long-form reports feel structured and readable, while built-in analytics show how readers engage with each section of your report.

Available on all plans.

How to Export an Annual Report Using the Canva Publish Intent Integration

  1. Open your annual report design in Canva.

  1. Click Share in the top-right corner.

  1. Select See all, then choose Simplebooklet under the Design section. The Canva Publish Intent Integration for Simplebooklet opens on the right-hand side of Canva.

  1. In the preview window, you’ll see a live flipbook mockup of your annual report.

Tip: Pages may appear blurry in the preview — this is expected. Publish the report to see the full-quality version.

  1. At the top of the integration, use Choose pages to export all pages or select specific sections of your annual report.

  1. Under the Publish tab, choose a Page Flip Transition.

For annual reports, structured or minimal transitions often work best for readability.

  1. When everything looks right, click Publish now to publish your annual report using the Canva Publish Intent Integration.

First-Time Connection Tip

If the Publish now button is greyed out, you’re using the Canva Publish Intent Integration for the first time, or you can’t access your Simplebooklet library in Canva, your accounts just need to be connected.

  1. Switch from the Publish tab to the Account tab.

  1. Click Connect.

  1. Confirm the connection when prompted.

  1. Log in or sign up for your Simplebooklet account.

  1. You’ll be returned to Canva and the Publish now option will be available.

This connection only needs to be completed once.

After Publishing

Once published, you’ll see a confirmation message. From here, you can:

  • Make a copy — creates a duplicate of your Canva annual report

  • Check it out — opens your report in Simplebooklet

Your annual report opens in Simplebooklet Preview Mode, where you can:

  • Flip through pages

  • Preview desktop, tablet, and mobile views

  • Click Customize to access the Edit, Design, or Narrate tabs

When you’re ready to share your annual report:

  1. Click the Share tab in the top-right corner.

  1. Choose how you want to deliver it:

  • Copy your branded link

  • Generate a QR code

  • Grab an embed code

  • Use any sharing option you prefer

Your annual report is now live — published through the Canva Publish Intent Integration and ready to share.

How This Impacts the Audience’s Journey

Exporting an annual report using the Canva Publish Intent Integration supports the Awareness, Attention, and Action stages of the audience journey. The page-flip format makes large reports easier to explore, while interactive elements help guide stakeholders toward deeper engagement and follow-up.
