How to get your Simplebooklet Link

How to get your Simplebooklet link

Every Simplebooklet has its own branded weblink — a real, public-facing URL you can drop into emails, embed on your site, share on social, or print on a business card. There are two places to grab it: the Dashboard for a quick copy, or the Share Tab for the full set of link tools (QR code, shortlink, custom URL, page-level shares, and more).

Available on all plans.

From the Dashboard (Quick Copy)

If all you need is the link itself, the Dashboard is the fastest route.

  1. Open your Dashboard.

  1. Find the Simplebooklet you want to share — your URL appears right next to the title.

  1. Click the three-dot icon (More Link Actions) beside the URL. A small menu opens with two options:

  • Copy Link — One-click copy your URL to the clipboard.

  • Update Link — Jumps you straight to the Share Tab to customize the URL.

That's it for the basic share. If you want a QR code, shortlink, custom URL, or page-level sharing, head to the Share Tab.

The Share Tab is link headquarters — every link tool lives here.

  1. Open your Dashboard.

  1. On the Simplebooklet you want to share, click Share.

The Share Tab opens with your URL and link controls front and center.

The first thing to set is who can actually reach your link. At the top of the Share Tab:

  • Public Link — Anyone with the link can open it, and search engines can index it. Use this for marketing pages and content you want discovered.

  • Link Only — Only people you give the link to can open it. Search engines won't index it. Good for private shares.

  • Paused — The link is unpublished and inaccessible. Useful while you're editing or if you want to take a booklet offline temporarily.

If your link isn't working when you share it, this is the first place to check.

Below the visibility setting, your URL takes center stage with four icons next to it:

  • Copy — One-click copy your URL to the clipboard.

  • QR Code — Generate a scannable code for print materials, signage, business cards, or anywhere a clickable link won't work. When someone scans it with their phone, your Simplebooklet opens right in their browser.

  • Shorten Link — Grab a condensed version of your URL — easier to type and share, perfect for SMS, Twitter, or anywhere character count matters. The big advantage: your shortlink stays the same even if you later customize your main URL. Use it anywhere you want a stable link that won't break.

  • Update Link (pencil icon) — Customize the URL slug to match your brand or content — e.g. simplebooklet.com/spring-catalog-2026 instead of a random string. Stick to letters, numbers, and dashes (no spaces or special characters).

Next to your URL, the Link Management dropdown opens three extra link controls:

  • Share By Page — Generate a link that opens to a specific page of your Simplebooklet. Great for pointing readers straight to a product, chapter, or call-to-action without making them flip through.

  • Set Start Page — Choose which page your Simplebooklet opens on when readers click your link. Default is the cover, but you can land them anywhere.

  • Set Tracking URL — Add tracking parameters to your link so you can see exactly which campaign or channel each visit came from in your analytics.

Update Your Title, Author, and Description

The text in your URL bar isn't the only thing search engines see. Click the pencil icon next to your booklet title at the top of the Share Tab to update:

  • Title — Shows up in browser tabs and search results.
  • Author — Credits the creator.
  • Description — The snippet that appears under your title in search results and on social previews.

These three together are what make your link look professional when someone shares it.

What's next?

Now that you've got your link:

  • How to share your Simplebooklet — A walkthrough of every way to send your booklet out into the world.

  • Get to know the Share Tab — A full tour of everything in the Share Tab.

  • Protect your Simplebooklet — Add password protection, lead gates, or paywalls before you send your link.
