Replace a Simplebooklet with a New Canva Design
Replace a Simplebooklet with a New Canva Design
The Replace with new design option lets you take a brand-new Canva design and use it to replace the content of an existing Simplebooklet — while keeping the same live
link, analytics, and share settings.
This is ideal when you want to refresh or redesign an older Simplebooklet without breaking links or losing engagement data.
How to Replace an Existing Simplebooklet Using Canva
This workflow starts in Canva and uses the Canva Publish Intent Integration to replace content in Simplebooklet.
Start in Canva
- Open the Canva design you want to use as your new Simplebooklet content.
- Make sure your design is ready to publish.
- Click Share in the top-right corner.
- Select See all, then choose Simplebooklet under the Design section.
The Canva Publish Intent Integration opens on the right-hand side.
Replace an Existing Simplebooklet
- At the top of the integration, choose which pages you want to export.
- Under the Publish tab, select a Page Flip Transition.
- Switch to the Library tab.
- You’ll see your 25 most recent Simplebooklets.
- Find the Simplebooklet you want to replace and click Update with new design.
- Click Publish now.
Your new Canva design replaces the content of that Simplebooklet while keeping the same link and analytics.
After Publishing
Once published, you’ll see a confirmation message. From here, you can:
- Make a copy — creates a duplicate of your Canva design
- Check it out — opens the updated Simplebooklet
Your booklet opens in Simplebooklet Preview Mode, where you can:
- Flip through the new pages
- Preview desktop, tablet, and mobile views
- Click Customize to access the Edit, Design, or Narrate tabs
Share Your Updated Simplebooklet
When you’re ready to share:
- Click the Share tab in the top-right corner.
- Choose how you want to deliver it:
- Copy your branded link
- Generate a QR code
- Grab an embed code
- Use any sharing option you prefer
Your Simplebooklet is now live — updated with a new Canva design while keeping the same link and analytics intact.
