Get to Know Following

Following lets readers opt in to stay connected with your Simplebooklet. When someone follows your booklet, they'll receive updates whenever you notify them of changes or new content — and your Simplebooklet is automatically added to their personal following page at simplebooklet.com/following.

All plans support following. Managing followers (adding, notifying, removing) requires a Pro or Business plan.

Why Use Following?

Think of it like following a creator on Instagram or TikTok. When readers follow your Simplebooklet, you've built a direct line of communication with your most engaged audience. You can notify them when you update pricing, release new content, correct information, or publish something new — and it shows up right in their inbox with a link back to your booklet.

For readers, it means all the Simplebooklets they care about are in one easy-to-bookmark place.

How It Works

When following is enabled on your Simplebooklet, a Follow button appears in the Contact section of your navbar. Readers click it, enter their email, and they're following. From that point on:

  • You'll get an email notification whenever someone new follows your booklet.

  • Your follower count is displayed directly on your Dashboard — click it to open the follower manager.

  • You can view, add, remove, and message followers from the Manage Followers popup in the Share tab.

  • When a reader follows your booklet, they're also following you as an author — so when you create a new Simplebooklet, you can automatically add your existing followers to it.

What Readers See

Readers who follow your booklet get access to their personal following page at simplebooklet.com/following — a collection of every Simplebooklet they follow, organized by author. Your booklet appears there automatically the moment they follow, and moves to the top whenever you send an update.

While viewing your published booklet, readers can also click the followers icon in the top navbar to see who else is following.

How This Supports the Reader's Journey

Following activates the Satisfaction stage of the Reader's Journey — it's what turns a one-time reader into a repeat visitor. Once someone follows your booklet, every update you send brings them back, deepening the relationship and keeping your content top of mind.
