Lock your Simplebooklet to a Webpage
Lock your Simplebooklet to a Webpage
The Lock to Webpage feature allows you to restrict access to your Simplebooklet so it can only be opened from specific website URLs. This ensures your content is viewed only in the intended environment, making it ideal for exclusive content, embedded promotions, or controlled distribution. Readers attempting to access your Simplebooklet directly or from unapproved URLs will be redirected to a page of your choice, keeping your content secure.
How to Lock your Simplebooklet to a lock.
- Open your Dashboard and scroll to the Simplebooklet you want to protect.
- Tap the Share button for that Simplebooklet
- Under the Access Control section, toggle on the Lock to Webpage feature.
- The Secure Link pop-up will appear. Here’s what you can do:
Step 1. Add Approved URL(s):
- Enter the webpage URL(s) where your Simplebooklet can be accessed. Readers will only be able to open your Simplebooklet from these URLs. To manage your list, click the trash icon to delete a URL or the plus icon to add additional URLs.
Step 2. Set Redirect URL:
- Enter the URL where people will be sent if they try to access the Simplebooklet from an unapproved URL.
- Toggle on the Enable Secure Link box at the bottom of the pop-up to activate your settings.
- To edit or disable your Secure Link, click the Settings icon next to Require Verified Email. From the pop-up, you can update your approved URLs, change your redirect URL, or toggle the feature off entirely.
- And that’s it! Your Simplebooklet is now locked to your approved webpage(s). If someone tries to access it from an unapproved URL, they’ll be redirected to the URL you set.
Additional Information
- You can add or remove approved URLs at any time by revisiting the Secure Link pop-up.
- Locking a Simplebooklet to specific URLs works alongside other access controls like Password Protection or Require Verified Email for layered security.
- To test the feature, try opening your Simplebooklet from both an approved URL and a non-approved URL to confirm the redirect is working correctly.
