How do I control who can open my Simplebooklet?

You can choose who can open your Simplebooklet from the top of the Share tab: anyone, only people with the link, or no one while it's paused. Picking the right setting means your document reaches the people it's meant for, whether that's the public, a client you've sent it to, or nobody until it's ready.

Available on all plans.

How do I change who can open my Simplebooklet?

  1. On your Dashboard, click Share on your Simplebooklet. If you're already editing it, click Share in the top-right corner.
  2. Under Your link & access, choose one of these:
    • Public Link: anyone can open it.
    • Link Only: only people who have the link can open it.
    • Paused: no one can open it until you change this setting.

Your change applies to your link, QR codes and embeds.

How do I control exactly who can open it?

Link Only keeps your Simplebooklet out of view, but anyone who has the link can open it, including people it's forwarded to. To decide exactly who gets in, open Access Controls under your link and add a password, require verified emails, or set up a paywall.

Common questions

What happens to my QR codes and embeds when my Simplebooklet is paused?

They stop opening your Simplebooklet until you set it back to Public Link or Link Only. Your link stays the same, so they work again as soon as you change the setting back.

My Simplebooklet says Paused, but I didn't pause it. Why?

Simplebooklet can pause a booklet for account reasons, such as reaching a plan limit. Learn more: Why Are My Booklets Showing as Paused?

Link Only limits who can open your Simplebooklet to people who have the link. If someone forwards the link, the person they send it to can open it too. For more control, use a password or require verified emails under Access Controls.
