How do I download my Simplebooklet as a PDF?

You can download your Simplebooklet as a static PDF for offline reading or keeping a record. You can also let readers download it from your Simplebooklet's navigation bar, but to share the full document experience, with video, links and reading data in your Reports, send your Simplebooklet link instead.

How do I download my Simplebooklet as a PDF?


  1. On your Dashboard, click Share on your Simplebooklet. If you're already editing it, click Share in the top-right corner.
  2. Under Export, click PDF. Download as a PDF opens, showing your Simplebooklet's page count and the PDF's file size.
  3. If you changed your original file since the PDF was made, click Refresh first so the PDF matches your latest version.
  4. To add the images from your image hotspots to the end of the PDF, tick Attach hotspot images as addendum.
  5. Click Download PDF.


Page flips, videos and other interactive features don't carry over to the PDF.


What's included in the PDF?


  • Included: every page of your Simplebooklet as a flat, static page.
  • Optional: the images from your image hotspots, added at the end as an addendum.
  • Not included: page flips, videos, audio, narration, links and other interactive features.


Can my readers download the PDF too?


Yes, if you turn it on. Readers only see the download option when it's turned on in your Simplebooklet's navigation bar. Learn how in Allow Readers to Download your Simplebooklet as a PDF.


Common questions


Why doesn't my PDF show my latest changes?


Click Refresh before you download. The PDF is made from your original file, so after you change it, refresh to update the PDF.



Send the link when you want people to read it and you want to know they did. A PDF can't be tracked once it's downloaded, and it doesn't include video, links or your calls to action. What are hotspot images?


They're images you've added to your pages with image hotspots, which readers see when they click a hotspot. Learn more: Add an Image Hotspot
