My Booklet Is Stuck on the Converting Screen


If your Simplebooklet has been converting for longer than expected or appears to be frozen, here's what to do.



How Long Does Conversion Take?


Most booklets convert in under a few minutes. Larger files — especially PDFs with many pages, high-resolution images, or complex layouts — can take longer. If your booklet has been converting for more than 10 minutes, something may have gone wrong.



Can I Leave the Page While It Converts?


Yes. You don't need to stay on the converting screen. Simplebooklet converts your file in the background. You can close the tab and come back later — your Dashboard will show the booklet once it's ready.



What to Try


Refresh your Dashboard. If you've been waiting a while, refresh the page. Your booklet may have finished converting without the screen updating.


Check your file size. If your PDF is very large, it may exceed your plan's upload limits. Try compressing your file using a tool like iLovePDF and re-uploading. See Compress Your Files to Meet Simplebooklet's Upload Size Limits for more.


Try re-uploading. If the booklet appears stuck or never shows up on your Dashboard, try uploading the file again.
