Update a Simplebooklet from Adobe Express

Update a Simplebooklet from Adobe Express

If you've already published a Simplebooklet and want to refresh the design without losing your weblink, QR code, or audience reports, the Update with new design button in the Adobe Express integration is built for exactly that. Push a new Adobe Express design into an existing Simplebooklet and everything else stays put — same URL, same analytics history, same shares already out in the world. This article walks you through how to use it.

Available on all plans.

When to Use This

Update with new design is the right move when you want to:

  • Refresh a seasonal catalog without giving every retail partner a new link.

  • Push monthly updates to a recurring newsletter or report and keep the link in your email signature working.

  • Iterate on a design without losing the engagement history you've built up.

  • Fix a typo or swap a photo in a Simplebooklet that's already in circulation.

If you're starting fresh with a brand-new piece of content instead, see Create from Adobe Express for the new-booklet flow.

Before You Start

  • Have your updated design ready in Adobe Express.

  • Make sure you've connected your Simplebooklet account at least once before. If you haven't, see Create from Adobe Express for the connect flow.

Step 1: Open the Share Menu in Adobe Express

With your updated design finalized, click Share in the top-right corner of the Adobe Express editor.

Step 2: Open the Simplebooklet App

In the Share file panel, click Simplebooklet. If you don't see it, click Show all, scroll to More options, and find Simplebooklet there.

Step 3: Go to the Library Tab

The Simplebooklet popup opens. Click the Library tab to see your 25 most recent Simplebooklets.

If you see a "Not Connected" message instead, jump to the Account tab and click Connect to Simplebooklet first — once you're signed in, the Library tab unlocks and shows your booklets.

Step 4: Find the Simplebooklet You Want to Update

Scroll through the Library to find the booklet you want to refresh. Each one shows a thumbnail and title so you can spot the right one quickly.

Step 5: Click Update with New Design

Below the booklet you've picked, click Update with new design. Your current Adobe Express design replaces the existing content in that Simplebooklet. You'll get a confirmation when it's ready.

What Stays the Same

When you update a Simplebooklet with a new design, all of this stays put:

  • The weblink — Anyone you've already shared it with still has a working URL.

  • The QR code — Print materials, signage, and business cards keep working.

  • Audience reports and analytics — Your engagement history rolls forward, so you can see how the new design performs against the old one.

  • Access controls — Passwords, lead gates, paywalls, and verified-email lists stay in place.

  • Sharing settings — Embeds on your website continue to work without re-pasting code.

What Gets Refreshed

The page content itself is replaced with your new Adobe Express design. If you'd added Simplebooklet-side enhancements (links, buttons, hotspots, narration) on top of the original design, you may need to re-apply them in the Edit Tab after updating.

What's next?

Now that your Simplebooklet is updated:

  • Get to know the Edit Tab — Re-apply any links, buttons, or hotspots after the design refresh.

  • Get to know the Reports Tab — Compare engagement on the new design against the old one.

  • Get to know Preview Mode — Flip through your updated booklet to make sure everything looks right before your audience does.
