Upload a Bifold Brochure
Upload a Bifold Brochure
Take your bifold brochure from print to digital — complete with the page flip your design was built around.
Why Upload Your Bifold to Simplebooklet?
You've spent time designing a bifold that tells your story across its panels. A PDF doesn't do it justice — it's awkward to send, difficult to read on screen, and gives you no insight into who's actually looking at it. Simplebooklet gives your bifold a branded link, recreates the page flip digitally, and tracks every open so you always know how your content is landing.
How to Upload Your Bifold
- Go to your Dashboard and click Upload File.
- Select Upload File From Computer.
- Choose your bifold PDF from your computer.
- Once uploaded, you'll land on the Convert page. Set your Title — this is what appears when your booklet is shared and forms part of your URL.
- Under Choose A Page Flip, select the Page Spread tab.
- Hover over the options to preview each animation and choose the one that best suits your layout.
- Click Convert.
- Your Simplebooklet loads in the Preview display. Flip through it to confirm the fold looks right, then share, apply a theme, or customize further.
Advanced Settings — Do You Need the Bifold Option?
Before converting, you'll see an Advanced Settings option on the Convert page. There's a bifold setting in there, but whether you need it depends entirely on how your PDF is structured.
You don't need it if your PDF starts with a single cover page followed by double-page spreads. Because Simplebooklet can see that first lone page, it understands the document is a book-style layout and will apply the page spread fold automatically.
You do need it if every single page in your PDF is a wide landscape layout with two panels side by side — like a greeting card or a bifold brochure where both the inside and outside are presented as full landscape spreads. To Simplebooklet, those just look like wide single pages. Without enabling the bifold option in Advanced Settings, it won't know they're actually two panels meant to fold together.
Before You Upload — Get Your PDF Right
The bifold page spread options only appear when your PDF is correctly formatted for that layout. If your file isn't set up properly, the fold options won't appear — and folds can't be added or changed after upload.
If your bifold is split across multiple files, combine them into a single PDF first using a free tool like ilovepdf.com before uploading.
Need a template? Canva and Adobe Express both have bifold templates and direct Simplebooklet export built in.
What Readers See
Readers get a single link that opens your bifold with the page-flip intact — no downloads, no clunky PDF viewer. It works on desktop, mobile, and tablet.
