Uploading FAQ
What file types can I upload?
PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, XLS, XLSX, PAGES, KEYNOTE, and files from Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets. For the best and most reliable results, we recommend exporting to PDF before uploading.
What's the maximum file size?
File size limits depend on your plan — Basic supports up to 75 MB, Pro up to 250 MB, and Business up to 350 MB.
Can I change my page flip after converting?
Yes — you can update your page flip at any time after conversion. See Which Page Flip Should I Choose? if you're not sure which one to go with.
Why isn't the Trifold (or Gatefold) option appearing?
These options only appear when your PDF is formatted correctly for that layout. For Trifold, your file must be exactly 2 pages with 3 panels per page. If the option isn't showing up, your PDF likely isn't structured that way — see Upload a Trifold Brochure for formatting requirements.
Can I update my file after uploading?
Yes. Use the Replace feature on your Dashboard to swap in a new file. Your link, embed codes, and QR code all stay the same — readers will automatically see the updated version.
Can I upload multiple files at once?
No — each Simplebooklet is created from a single file upload. If you want to combine multiple documents, merge them into one PDF first using a tool like ilovepdf.com before uploading.
Why does my text look blurry or my layout look off after converting?
This usually happens when a file uses custom fonts that weren't embedded, or when a non-PDF format loses formatting during conversion. Export your file as a PDF before uploading for the cleanest results. If you're uploading from Illustrator, use the PDF/X-1a:2001 preset.
Can I upload from Google Drive or Dropbox?
Not directly. Download your file to your computer first, then upload it from there.
What happens during conversion — how long does it take?
Once you upload your file, Simplebooklet processes it and creates a web-ready flipbook with its own landing page. Conversion time depends on file size and your internet speed — most files are ready in under a minute.
Can I have more than one Simplebooklet from the same file?
Yes. You can upload the same file multiple times to create separate Simplebooklets — useful if you want different titles, themes, or share settings for the same content.
Do I need to use Advanced Settings?
Most of the time, no. Advanced Settings are only needed for specific situations — like bifold PDFs where every page is a landscape double-panel spread. See Upload a Bifold Brochure for more detail.
