Why Upload Your Gatefold to Simplebooklet?


A gatefold is one of the most distinctive brochure formats — the dramatic reveal as the panels open is the whole point. Uploading it as a flat PDF loses that entirely. Simplebooklet digitally recreates the gatefold animation, preserving your design intent while giving you a shareable link and real-time analytics on who's opening it and when.



How to Upload Your Gatefold


  1. Go to your Dashboard and click Upload File.


  1. Select Upload File From Computer.


  1. Choose your gatefold PDF from your computer.


  1. On the Convert page, set your Title — it'll form part of your custom URL.


  1. Under Choose A Page Flip, select the Gatefold button. Then choose the option that matches your design:


  • Gatefold — opens like saloon doors with three fold lines. Best for PDFs designed from the center outwards.


  • Double Gatefold — adds an extra fold. Best for gatefolds with one panel intended as the front page.


| Choosing any option other than a gatefold option will result in incorrect fold lines in your document.


  1. Click Convert.


  1. Your Simplebooklet loads in the Preview display. Flip through it to make sure the animation looks right, then start sharing or customize further.
