Embed your Simplebooklet in a SharePoint Page

Embed Your Simplebooklet in a SharePoint Page

You can embed your Simplebooklet directly into a Microsoft SharePoint page, giving your team or audience a fully interactive booklet experience without ever leaving your SharePoint environment. Follow the steps below to get it set up.

Available on all plans.

Step 1 — Prepare Your Simplebooklet for Embedding

Before copying your embed code, take a moment to configure how your booklet will look and behave inside SharePoint.

In the Design Tab

  1. Open your Dashboard and select the Simplebooklet you want to embed.

  1. Click the Design tab.

  1. Configure the navigation menu buttons you want to appear for your viewers.

  1. Under Control Menu, make sure the Fullscreen option is enabled. This allows viewers to expand the booklet to fill their screen.

  1. Under Navbar Menu, select the Embed tab and choose your preferred navigation bar layout. You can preview each option before deciding.

1. (Optional) Under Share Menu, use the toggle at the bottom to hide sharing options if you don't want viewers to share the booklet from within SharePoint.

In the Share Tab

  1. Click the Share tab at the top of the editor.

  1. Under Embed on a Webpage, click the Code button.

  1. Your embed code will appear in a popup. Choose your preferred navbar style — Candy Bar, Minimalist, or Disable footer navigation.

  1. Click Copy to copy the embed code to your clipboard.

Step 2 — Add Your Simplebooklet to SharePoint

  1. Go to the SharePoint page where you want to embed your booklet.

  1. Click Edit to enter edit mode.

  1. Open the Toolbox (the icon on the right side of the page).

  1. Click See all web parts, then find and select — or drag and drop — the Embed </> web part onto your page.

  1. Click Edit properties on the web part.

  1. Paste your copied embed code into the embed code box.

  1. Click Save or Republish to apply your changes.

Your Simplebooklet will now appear directly on your SharePoint page.

Adjusting the Size

SharePoint's Resize to fit the page toggle is available but may not always produce the result you want. For more precise control, edit the embed code directly:

  • Find the height="xxx" value inside the iframe code

  • Increase or decrease the number to adjust how tall the booklet appears on the page

  • Adjust the width value in the same way if needed

Tip: Viewers can also click the Expand button in the booklet's navbar to make it fill their full screen. Press ESC to return to the SharePoint page.

Troubleshooting

My booklet isn't displaying — it shows an error or blank space.

Depending on your organisation's SharePoint configuration, the simplebooklet.com domain may be blocked as an external content source. If this happens, you can update the embed code URL to use your custom Simplebooklet domain instead.

In the iframe embed code, find:

src="https://simplebooklet.com/embed.php?...

Replace simplebooklet.com with your custom domain, leaving the ? and the rest of the key exactly as they are:

src="https://yourcustomdomain.com/embed.php?...

Note: If you're unsure whether you have a custom domain set up, contact your Simplebooklet account administrator or reach out to our support team.
