Why Are My Booklets Showing as Paused?
Why Are My Booklets Showing as Paused?
If your booklets are showing as paused, sharing has been temporarily disabled. This article explains why it happens and what to do next.
Why This Happens
Booklets are paused for one of two reasons. Either your free plan has reached its 180-day or 1,000-open limit, or a paid plan has expired or been cancelled and your account has reverted to the free plan.
What Paused Means
Paused booklets are not visible to your readers. Anyone who clicks a link to one of your booklets will see a neutral message letting them know the booklet is temporarily unavailable — there's no mention of billing or plans.
Your content, design, and analytics are fully intact during the pause. Nothing is deleted while your account is in this state.
The Grace Period
After your free plan limit is reached, you have a 30-day grace period before your content is permanently deleted. If you upgrade at any point during this window, your booklets are restored immediately — same links, same content, same stats, right where you left off. After Day 211, booklets are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered by anyone, including our support team.
See What Happens When Your Free Plan Ends for the full timeline.
How to Restore Your Booklets
- Log into your Dashboard.
- Upgrade to a paid plan.
- Your booklets are restored immediately — no re-uploading required.
