Understanding Your Invoice and Billing Documentation

What billing documentation is available to you depends on your Simplebooklet plan. This article explains what each plan includes and where to find it.

Available on all paid plans.

What's Available Per Plan

Free Plan

The Free plan has no charges, so no billing documentation is generated.

Basic and Pro Plans

Basic and Pro subscribers receive receipts. These are automatically generated by Paddle after each payment and are available to download from Dashboard → Account → Your Plan → Receipts.

Formal invoices with custom billing details are not available on Basic or Pro. If you need a formal invoice for procurement or accounting purposes, you'll need to upgrade to a Business or Enterprise plan.

Business and Enterprise Plans

Business and Enterprise subscribers receive receipts plus access to formal invoices on request. To request a formal invoice, contact us at support@simplebooklet.com and include your organization name, billing address, and any tax ID or reference number you need included.

Updating Your Billing Details

All paid users can update their organization name, billing address, and VAT or tax ID from the receipts page. Go to Dashboard → Account → Your Plan → Receipts and click Billing Details at the top. Any changes you save will apply to all future receipts.

Previously issued receipts cannot be edited. If you're looking to recover tax charges on past invoices, see Apply for Tax-Exempt Status on Your Subscription.

VAT and Tax Exemptions

VAT and tax exemption requests are handled through Paddle, Simplebooklet's payment processor. See Apply for Tax-Exempt Status on Your Subscription for the full process, including how to submit documentation and what to expect after approval.
