Why Was My Account Deleted?
Why Was My Account Deleted?
Losing access to your content is frustrating, and we're sorry you're dealing with that. This article explains why it happened and what options you have going forward.
Why Accounts Are Deleted
Accounts are permanently deleted on Day 211 — 30 days after the free plan limit is reached — if no action is taken during the grace period. We do this for a few reasons: storage and hosting have real costs, and data privacy regulations including EU law require us to remove inactive user data that is no longer in active use.
After Day 211, content cannot be recovered.
We Did Let You Know
Simplebooklet sends 8 emails throughout the free plan lifecycle, including a warning 3 days before permanent deletion. If you didn't receive them, it's worth checking your spam or junk folder.
- Day 150 — 30 days left on your free plan
- Day 165 — 15 days left
- Day 177 — 3 days left
- Day 180 — Your account is paused
- Day 183 — First pause reminder
- Day 195 — Second pause reminder
- Day 207 — 3 days before permanent deletion
- Day 211 — Confirmation that your account has been permanently removed
Can My Content Be Recovered?
No. After Day 211, your booklets and all associated data are permanently deleted from our system. This cannot be reversed by our support team. There are no exceptions.
Starting Fresh
Starting over is quicker than it feels. A new account takes a few minutes to set up, and you can start uploading and sharing content right away.
