How do I let readers follow my Simplebooklet?

You can let readers follow your Simplebooklet, so they hear from you when you update it or publish something new. Followers turn a one-time read into an ongoing audience, and you can send all of them a message in one step from the Share tab.


Following is available on all plans. Adding followers and sending messages to them is available on the Pro, Business and Enterprise plans. See Choosing a Plan.


How do I let readers follow my Simplebooklet?


  1. On your Dashboard, click Share on your Simplebooklet. If you're already editing it, click Share in the top-right corner.
  2. Scroll to Settings and open Reader Interaction.
  3. Turn on Allow People To Follow.


A Follow button now appears in the Contact section of your Simplebooklet's navbar, so readers can follow from any device. Turning following on in the Share tab or in Design > Contact turns it on in both places.


How do I see who follows my Simplebooklet?


Click the gear icon next to Allow People To Follow. The Followers tab lists everyone following this Simplebooklet.


How do I add followers from my other Simplebooklets?


If people follow your other Simplebooklets, you can add them to this one.


  1. Click the gear icon next to Allow People To Follow.
  2. On the Followers tab, click Add Followers.
  3. Search for a person, or use Filter by to see who follows a specific Simplebooklet.
  4. Tick each person you want to add, or tick Select all. Each person is added as soon as you tick them.
  5. Click Done.


How do I send a message to my followers?


Use this when you've updated your Simplebooklet or have news your followers should hear.


  1. Click the gear icon next to Allow People To Follow, then click the Notify tab.
  2. Edit the Message. It starts as "I've made updates to" followed by your Simplebooklet's title.
  3. Click Send.


Everyone following this Simplebooklet gets your message by email.


Send a message after you update your Simplebooklet with Replace, so followers know there's something new to read. Each one who opens it shows up in your Reports.

What do readers see when they follow?

Why can't I click Send?


No one follows this Simplebooklet yet. Add followers from your other Simplebooklets, or share your Simplebooklet with following turned on so readers can follow it.


Can I see who is reading, not just who is following?
