Get to know the Share Tab

Get to know the Share Tab

The Share Tab is where your Simplebooklet goes from "almost done" to "out in the world." It's home to your branded weblink, your QR code, your embed code, your export options, and every access and engagement setting that controls how readers find and interact with your content. If it has anything to do with how your Simplebooklet gets in front of people, it lives here.

Available on all plans.

How to Open the Share Tab

  1. Open your Dashboard.

  1. On the Simplebooklet you want to work on, click Share.

The Share Tab opens with your link controls at the top, then splits into two columns: Publish on the left (everywhere you can send your Simplebooklet) and Manage on the right (how readers experience and access it). The Edit / Design / Record / Share tabs at the very top are the same on every screen — they're how you switch between building (Edit), styling (Design), narrating (Record), and publishing (Share) your Simplebooklet.

The first thing you'll set at the top of the Share Tab is who can reach your Simplebooklet:

  • Public Link — Anyone can access it. Great for marketing pages and content you want indexed.

  • Link Only — Only people with the link can open it. Good for private shares.

  • Paused — Unpublished and inaccessible until you flip it back on.

You can also tap the pencil icon beside your title up top to update your title, author, and description — these flow into your URL and help with SEO.

Just below visibility, your Simplebooklet's URL takes center stage. From here you can:

  • Click the link — Opens the live, published version of your Simplebooklet.

  • Copy — One-click copy to send your link anywhere.

  • QR code — Generate a scannable code for print materials, signage, or mobile sharing.

  • Shortlink — Grab a condensed, shareable version of your URL. The shortlink stays the same even if you update your custom URL.

  • Pencil icon — Customize your URL to match your brand or content.

  • Link Management dropdown — Opens additional link controls all in one place.

Export Options

Five one-click ways to take your Simplebooklet out of the browser:

  • PDF — Download a static, flat version for offline viewing or print.

  • Install as App — Add your Simplebooklet to a device's home screen for one-tap access.

  • Cover Image — Save the cover thumbnail as a JPG or GIF.

  • Video — Generate an MP4 complete with page flips, sound, and narration.

  • Canva — Send your pages back to Canva for further design tweaks.

Publish (Left Column)

Everywhere you can send your Simplebooklet out into the world.

Send in Email

  • HTML Email — Send a rich, branded email with your booklet preview built in.

  • Email — A clean, link-style email straight to your recipient.

  • Mailchimp — Drop your Simplebooklet into a Mailchimp campaign.

Post on Social Media

Push your Simplebooklet to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, or Instagram. Each platform has its own posting flow so your Simplebooklet shows up looking the way it should.

  • Slack — Send your Simplebooklet straight into a Slack channel or DM.

  • Teams — Drop it into a Microsoft Teams channel or chat.

Embed on a Webpage

Want your Simplebooklet to live inside your own site? Pick the option that matches your platform:

  • Code — Generic embed code for any HTML page.

  • Cover — Embed just the cover so readers click through to the full booklet.

  • WordPress — Tailored embed for WordPress sites.

  • WIX — Tailored embed for Wix websites.

  • Shopify — Drop your booklet into a Shopify product or page.

  • Squarespace — Tailored embed for Squarespace sites.

Add to Google My Business

  • Profile — Push your Simplebooklet directly to your Google Business Profile so it shows up alongside your business listing.

Manage (Right Column)

How readers access, engage, and interact with your Simplebooklet. Each row has a toggle to turn the feature on, and a settings gear to fine-tune it.

Access Controls

  • Require Password — Set passwords (and optional usernames) so only the right people get in.

  • Lead Gate — Capture reader info (email, name, phone) before they unlock your content.

  • Require Verified Email — Make readers verify their email before viewing. Approve specific addresses or whole domains.

  • Paywall — Charge readers to unlock your Simplebooklet. Customize where the paywall appears, show a preview, and add a personal message.

  • Lock To Webpage — Restrict your Simplebooklet so it only opens from specific URLs — perfect for embedded or exclusive content.

  • Adult Content — Add a content warning to pages with mature material.

  • Require Cookie Consent — Show a cookie notice readers must accept (helpful for GDPR compliance).

Following

  • Allow People To Follow — Let readers subscribe to your Simplebooklet so they get updates when you republish or post new content. A Follow button appears in the Contact section of your navbar once it's enabled.

Comments

  • Reader Commenting — Let readers leave feedback right on the booklet — text, voice, video, or emoji reactions. Use the Moderate button to review and manage what gets posted.

Notifications

  • Email Me When Opened — Get an email each time someone opens your Simplebooklet.
  • Notify Me On Slack — Get a real-time ping in a Slack channel each time someone opens it.
