How Auto-Renewal Works

Simplebooklet subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. This article explains how renewal works and how to avoid unexpected charges.

How Renewal Works

Both monthly and annual plans auto-renew by default. Monthly plans renew every month on the same date as your original purchase. Annual plans renew once a year on the same date.

A reminder email is sent 30 days before your annual plan renews. Monthly plans do not receive a reminder email before renewal — if you want to avoid being charged, cancel before your next monthly renewal date.

What Happens at Renewal

At renewal, the payment method on file is charged automatically. If the payment fails, your account may be downgraded. Keep your billing details current to avoid interruptions — see Update your Payment Method.

How to Avoid Being Charged at Renewal

If you don't want to be charged for the next billing period, cancel or downgrade your plan before your renewal date. Once a renewal charge has been processed, it falls under the standard refund policy.

What Happens After Cancellation

After cancelling, your subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. When it expires, your account reverts to the Free plan. Your booklets will be paused and no longer visible to your audience, but your content is not deleted.
